Christmas Card Painting

This is the painting I used for my 2011 Christmas card. Oil on 9X12 canvas. Painted from a photograph of the 12,000 ft. peaks as viewed from the top of Copper Mountain Ski Resort. It's a white Christmas here too.

This is a portrait of a Yellow Lab, done from a magazine advertisement photo. Oil on board, 8x10. Any pet portrait $50. Makes a nice Christmas gift.

Big Sky

Wanted to practice painting clouds. This is a large painting 24 X 30, oil on gallery wrapped canvas. The barn is from a photograph I took in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I added the clouds from another photo, using my "artistic license".

Park Hill Art Club Fall Show and Sale

Hallet Peak, Rocky Mountain Nat. Park

This is my second painting of Hallet Peak. Oil on board, 8x10. First snow, with some leaves still on the aspen trees.

Havasu Creek

This is my first pallet knife painting. Oil, 8x10 on board. I previously did a smaller version with a paint brush. I still love the colors of the rocks and the creek where it flows into the Colorado River.

Park Hill Art Club Classes

I've started my art classes at Park Hill Art Club. One class with Clyde Stedman studying values doing still life paintings. "Cup and Bowl".

And one class with Steve Tracy study the 3-3 theory, "Lighthouse". Both paintings in oil, 8x10.

Painted out today at Rocky Mountain Arsenal, Mary's Lake. Perfect day in the shade. Oil on canvas, 11x14.

Patio Art

Outdoor patio art, acrylic paint on recycled cabinet doors from my kitchen. Frog 22x28, Poppies 19x28, and Sunflower 19x28.

Sketches North Sterling State Park

These are sketches I did at North Sterling State Park. One from the campsite, one from a hike along the lake of a cottonwood tree, and one of Balanced Rock in the park. Enjoyed kayaking the lake also.

Two new paintings

Donation Box Art

I haven't been painting much, but I did paint some raptor portraits on the Donation Box for Nature's Educators.
