Another Abstract

I'm taking a class at the Art Students League of Denver from Tracey Russell, www.traceyrussell.com "Exploring the Language of Abstraction".  This is one of my acrylic collage paintings on canvas 24 X 20.  

A Cool Palette for a Warm Day

Abstract #6, a warm day of 95 degrees, so I painted something with a "cool palette".  Acrylic on 16X20 canvas.

Abstract #5 Study in Blue

I went from squares to circles.  Acrylic on 24 X 18 canvas.

Abstract #3

Abstract 3, the instructor said it  looked like a Clifford Still in the verticle layout.  The horizontal layout still reminds me of a landscape.  Acrylic on 16 X 20 canvas. 

Second Abstract

My second abstract painting turned into a landscape.  Oh well.  Acrylic on 20 X 16 canvas. 

The Language of Abstraction

I'm taking a class at the Art Students League of Denver, "Exploring the Language of Abstraction" from Karen Roehl.  This is my first under painting layer using black ink, white and green acrylic paint.  I divided the canvas in half thinking I would make two paintings, but think I will make it one piece.  We are not supposed to do any more on it until next week, but I see where I can change things.  It only took me 15 minutes to do this step.
